Recent pastel painting I rendered from a black-and-white photograph I took about 50 years ago for an art class at Wilkes College with Mark Cohen. The four boys are atop a pile of used tires raising a T-shirt, reenacting the raising of the U.S. flag on Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima, during the WWII Pacific campaign.
