A recent pastel painting, sourced from a black-and-white photograph I shot about 50 years ago in or around my hometown of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. These two boys, playing hide-and-seek with their friends, were originally photographed for an art class at nearby Wilkes College. The original is about 15" x 22", rendered on a sheet of Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet, Moonstone color. Soft pastels used include Rembrandt. Hard pastels used are primarily NuPastel with some detail work done with CarbOthello pastel pencils.
